Regula as a manufacturer of forensic products will demonstrate examples of examining printing techniques in two questioned banknotes compared to a genuine one.  

The slides will show images of banknote fragments captured with the help of a portable spectrometer-microscope which enables up to 300x onscreen magnification. The speaker will explain how the device can help to make a decision about the banknote authenticity and to understand whether the questioned banknotes were printed using the same printing plate or different.  

You will hear about the portable spectrometer-microscope as a tool that can be used both in and out of the laboratory for analyzing color characteristics of inks used for printing banknotes. The device operates in both the visible and UV ranges.
